sew for real :)

remember back in november when i mentioned that i received a sewing machine for christmas and have not had the time....or the necessary guidance :) ..... to really get cooking with it? well, this past week molly was out in the hills and we got some serious sewing done!  she also stole henry from daycare for a day and took him out to great grandpa bob's ranch to play with the ponies!

here we are sewing up some cute pillows for henry's new big boy bed.  they feature the LORAX of course, one of his favorite characters of the moment.  the dr. seuss book has been one of his bed time must haves for several weeks running now.  we are getting pretty excited about the movie, and think we'll take henry to it for his first movie theatre experience  (i know, i know, i was going very slow and let henry sit on my lap for just a tiny bit so he could see it, and he first had to promise that he would keep his little hands to himself...notice how he is holding them against his chest--haha)

i asked henry to stand still for the camera and say cheese......he thought that he would look good if he posed against the wall this way....haha, i have no idea where he got this from

 and later i snuck into his room and took a pic with my phone since it is quieter :)
