father's day rewind

here's a quick little recap of father's day weekend :)

we had a surprise for daddy right away in the morning...henry couldn't wait--the second Austin woke up he wanted to give him his present!

 A whole bunch of goodies--Austin's favorites

Happy Father's Day Daddy! Thanks for being such a fungi!

I took a four pack of starbuck fraps (and after enjoying them) I painted the holder and took the stickers off of the bottles.  Then, Henry and I covered the caps with playdough to make them look like mushrooms :)  Then, we filled them with goodies of course.  Henry filled one with jellybelly jellybeans....one at a time.

 get it?  fungi?  hehehe

 oh and we also had to include some dad's root beer of course.

then we went to the reptile gardens.  raaaaawr.

we checked out the snake show

here we have henry jumping to his feet (he is in the bright green hat)....

.....and excitedly shouting :"that's a huuuuge snake daddy!"

then the alligator show

i think that one of henry's favorite parts was getting up close and personal with the critters in the dome

a daddy turtle with his baby  :) or soooo we decided.

and we are always a big fan of birds.  the guy on the left does blend in a little but if you look close it isn't a leaf, it's a bird they are looking at :)

and his most favorite of all, the giant turtles.  he was a bit hesitant at first, but then he really became attached and enjoyed petting his neck.
