18 months...or 1 year later

H is 18 months old today :) repeating everything.  if i sneeze-- he sneezes.  we brush our teeth together in the morning (or he kind of holds his under the faucet and then sucks on it while i brush mine).  he even has to prod his little bald head with a comb as a run one through my hair.  he sits cross-legged. points out "birds" "puppies" and "flowers" as we go on walks.  he feeds himself with a spoon (if he has the time for it).  if it's got rhythm, like the washing machine, he will boogie to it.  he has started to ask demand for things when he wants them :)  he loooves elmo, rawring like a dinosaur, reading books, blowing bubbles, splashing in his pool, pushing his wagon, riding in the bike trailer, putting on and then taking off and then putting on his batman shoes, climbing chairs-tables-couches-stairs-legs....

i'll just stop there :) haha
but what i'm really thinking about is that today marks one year since henry had surgery to remove his lymphangioma.  so i thought it would be neat to post some photos that i had to show how much different he looks.  austin and i were looking at old pictures of him and we couldn't believe them! its almost as if he'd never even had it, and we are so glad now that we decided to do it when we did and wouldn't change anything.

here's our fresh little henry :)
the incision after the surgery. such a big scar on such a tiny neck :( it wasn't easy
but he bounced right back!  post-op with a new pal
 and today--lookin' good baby :)
hehe--we must have just had a pretty big lunch by the looks of that belly.
AND did you notice that he had much more hair when he was born.
yep, i just had to point that out.  amongst all of his "recent developments" hair is not one of them.
i am the most patient person.
ever
ish
:)
